I just finished watching Platoon. I hadn't seen it before, rented it at least once and never watched it though, its been one Ive wanted to see for a long time now. It was pretty good.

Looks like I will be seeing my wife again in just a few weeks. I was looking foreward to seeing her last time, but this time so many things have changed. I almost dread it. I love to see her, but if I could never see her again it would probably be for the best, just too much pain involved. At least I won't cry like a baby, just seeing her come off the plane in October brought tears to my eyes, having only seen her once before in 7 months... Sometimes I still can't even believe this is all happening.

I feel like she is just going to show up and want to work things out. Its been 8 months now, Ill probably be saying the same sappy crap when its been 24 months. I know that I could never go back to her now, not after all of this, not after everything we have said and done.

I did the best I could, and I know I will improve and do better in the future. I don't regret any of my decisions, because even some of the bad ones taught me valuable lessons. There are some things I wish I could change, but not things I had any control over.

I just hope that we can parent together the way we want to. I think it will be best for our kids, or the best that we can manage now. Right now I can't even really get her to talk to me, and I still don't believe 100% of what she is saying, so many things she has said in the past 5-6 months or more have been lies, even when she told me the 'truth' finally, some of that was a lie. I dont know if she even wants what she says she wants, as far as myself and the kids go. I just hope so, because otherwise Im screwed.

So, bad beginning to a long weekend. Driving to work on Wednesday night and my tire popped. Only took me 20 min. to change it in the cold rainy weather, but ended up being 10 min late for work.

That worked to my advantage though, freaked the managers out and they started helping me with the Thanksgiving Ad. Night went smooth after that.

Didnt want to drive to Clarkston after work with just a stupid Doughnut tire on, so I parked my car at Les Schwab and my Grandpa and Rick came and got me for Thanksgiving.

We had a great time, tons of food and desserts and family. My cousin Bryan was there too, he goes to school in Moscow and I didnt realize this, but it was his first time meeting my kids EVER. And to make up for lost time they are going to spend one day a week with him (even follow him to classes and 'help' him with homework and lab work, should be interesting). For those of you taking me literally, I am joking. Take a breath there Bryan .

Didnt have to work until Midnight Thursday night, so I went in and got some sleep, then drove my Step Dad's truck up to work. Put out the Black Friday sale (which wasnt all that great, prices were good, but selection of items was bad). We opened at 5, which is GREAT, since I got to clock out at 5! HAHAHAHA .

Then guess what I did next? I went shopping on Black Friday for the first time EVER. Well, my mom might have taken me once or twice as a kid, but Im just talking about since I started working in Retail. This was my 11th christmas in Retail, 5th at ShopKo. Numbers Im not particularly proud of.

I didnt do any christmas shopping though, I bought my little cousin Malachi a couple Birthday presents. He is turning (or perhaps, has turned) 2! I cant recall the actual day, but his party is on Dec. 2nd.

Apparently Fisher Price doesnt make a "My Size" Yoda for kids. Which is retarded since he IS, in fact, their size. There is a dancing Spiderman that sings the Itsy Bitsy spider, but its not Peter Parker's voice, so I think its a fake!

I hope everyone had a great day and safe shopping people!

Another sweet position just opened up at WSU. It's more my type of job than the recruiter position I applied for (which would still be awesome). Its kind of a tech support type of job, for various student (and maybe faculty) services.

PS: Heroes last night was awesome, Im definatly going to have to buy this show on DVD right away. I hope it has some pimp special features too.

Well, the girl I had a bit of a crush on wasn't interested. Unfortunate, but kind of a relief. Once I decided I wanted to try, it became more than obvious that I am not ready.

I just watched the movie The Break-up and there are some interesting parallels. I read this article called Walk Away Wife Syndrome, and it seems to apply to the movie to a degree as well.

Click Here to Read the Article

I definatly think there was a moment where I would say something like "Why would I ever 'Want' to do the dishes?" or Garbage for that matter.

Ive learned so much about relationships, but I know almost nothing about dating and getting to that point again. Kind of intimidating, especially now that you throw kids into the mix.

The exercising isnt going as I planned. Slowed down a bit now that the weather is changing. Also, I think my body is having a hard time handling the lack of sleep I have been putting it through for the last 5 months. Despite not exercising as much as I wanted, I lost 2 more pounds and have made it a round 20 lb lost.

If I decide to try to ask someone else out, there is this cute girl I met at Blockbuster that is really nice. I dont think Ill be doing that though, I just cant tell if Im 'not ready' or if Im just telling myself that. [<------- Um, awkward, I think she probably read this, but its something I wrote before I found out she had a boyfriend :-) I swear! ------->]

Anyway, Im out for now.

PS: Download MySpaceIM and chat with me sometime (any of you) or I also use AIM, MSN, ICQ, Yahoo! and especially Google Talk!

I used to have a very limited taste for music. In a sense, I used to almost exclusivly listen to Oldies (and Christmas Music ofcourse).

Then one year for my birthday I got two Pearl Jam albums, Vs. and Ten. That is when I first started getting into more current forms of music. Despite that I was still very closed minded and I have found myself reaching into past eras of music to extract songs I like now and really should have liked then.

Its an interesting development, considering there are a lot of bands delving deeper into our musical history for inspiration. I mean, when 'Grunge' hit there was a ton of Grunge bands all of a sudden, when 'Punk' finally imploded on itself and became more mainstream, suddenly there were tons of Punk bands. It goes on and on like that, but I think the current musical pallette (while still suffering from that) is more divirsified than ever.

I guess Im not even sure what I am saying really. I don't normally talk about music, I just happen to be more than happy with how my collection has grown.

Here is a list of the last 25 songs I have downloaded:

Here It Goes Again - O.K. Go
Lips of an Angel - Hinder
Welcome to the Black Parade - My Chemical Romance
Woman - Wolfmother
Joker and the Thief - Wolfmother
White & Nerdy - "Weird Al" Yankovic
Steady As She Goes - The Raconteurs
I Write Sins Not Tragedies - Panic! At the Disco
Don't Wait - Dashboard Confessional
Into the Ocean - Blue October
Hate Me - Blue October
With or Without You - U2
I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For - U2
Gangsta's Paradise - Coolio
One - U2
Pride (In the Name of Love) - U2
Summer In the City - The Lovin' Spoonful
In the Year 2525 - Zager & Evans
Soul to Squeeze - Red Hot Chili Peppers
Otherside - Red Hot Chili Peppers
Californication - Red Hot Chili Peppers
Barbie Girl (Radio) - Aqua
D & D - Stephen Lynch
Give It Away - Red Hot Chili Peppers

I know, its kind of a strange collection of songs. If you dig even deeper, it just gets even more strange. Right at this moment I am downloading Knights of Cydonia - Muse.

And here is a list of some of the songs I intend to download in the near future (I am currently on Dial up, so I have to pace myself):

Stuck in the Middle with You - Stealers Wheel
American Pie - Don McLean
I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles) - The Proclaimers
No Rain - Blind Melon
Vasoline - Stone Temple Pilots
Mr. Jones - Counting Crows
Walkin' On the Sun - Smash Mouth
Firestarter - The Prodigy
Fly - Sugar Ray
One Headlight - The Wallflowers
Time Is Running Out - Muse
Hysteria - Muse

As far as things go, I would really like to add some Metallica to that list. I really like what Metallica I have so far (Load and the Black Album), but beyond that my exposure to them is limited. Its nice that they are finally available on iTunes.

In my more recent downloads you will see that I purchased two Wolfmother songs. I actually like at least 5 of the songs on their album. I had decided to go and pick it up at ShopKo, but when I got there I realized that they had edited the CD cover, which is just not acceptable. If you have a problem with something, dont sell it, Im ok with that. But editing it is unacceptable to me. Understand though, that editing the content of songs is ok with me, as long as it is made available in its original format as well. But the art is harmless (to its target audience) and should have been left intact.

So I decided not to buy it and I downloaded a couple songs when I got home last night.

Well, thats all for now I suppose. I had thought of a really cool subject title for my blog, but I went and forgot the dang thing. Ill try to think of it again and use it another time.

Mac and C.H.E.E.S.E.

Hey, title is just random. I was super excited to apply for a job today. A Recruiter Assistant position for the Cougar Football team. Hell Yeah! Been a cougar fan all my life. Not sure if Im fully qualified for it, but I could definatly kick ass at it if givent he opprotunity. Im sure there will be a ton of people applying for it though. Either way, cool to apply for cool jobs. (think im going to go apply for that Vice President of Nintendo Position again, they dont return my calls..)

A Crush on someone I work with

[<-------EDIT------->] Recently I started feeling like I was ready to start dating again. Not fully ready, but to a point that I felt I couldnt move beyond unless I actually stepped foreward on my own.

I guess thats when things went downhill. With the loss of my Marriage, I had lost more than I thought. My Confidence. [<-------EDIT------->] I feel like Ive suddenly been thrust back into my awkward High School self.

At first I started thinking that perhaps Im not as ready as I thought. I am though, I am defeating myself at this. So many factors that I hadn't worried about previously came to mind.

I want to take things slow and keep them fun and casual. Im not going to resist things moving foreward in a relationship, but I am definatly going to tread carefully. Also, I am not trying to find a step mother for my children. In time, my next serious relationship, I do intend to have more children, and I would expect whomever I am with to treat my children fairly, and love them. But for now, I wouldnt even intend on including my children in any relationships I may have. I dont want them to grow attached and be hurt, and I wouldn't want the person I am dating to feel intimidated or get the wrong idea about my intentions.

Well, I best get back to bed I suppose. I fell asleep watching the Da Vinci Code last night, early. Not sure why, what I saw was interesting enough. The book itself is amazing. I guess I was just really tired. I woke up at 3am and decided to watch the other movie I had rented "An American Haunting".

It took me the entire span of the 90 minute movie to write this blog (actually longer, the movie is over and I am clearly still writing). [<-------EDIT------->]

Good Night and Good Luck America.

Money and the Weather

Well, first off, the subject is Money and the Weather, but there is no information or comments about Money (other than this) in the post. It just sounded like a much better title than "The Weather".

The weather is crazy here right now, it has been all night. Our portable Carport blew away and wrapped itself around the Noon Siren (yes... garfield has a noon siren... and yes... it goes off at 12 o'clock every freakin day). Wind and Hail all night it seemed, plus this crazy wind. The boy's school lost some of its roof as well.

I added a new picture, its a newspaper clip with my kids in it, very cool stuff! I also posted it to my kids website, if you wanted to check that out here.

Well, I have more to say, but it can wait until later. Thanks All!

Work and Life

I'm going to be completely and totally honost, ShopKo sucks now. Their managment are running it into the ground and if they put that new Super Walmart across the street we are done for. I think that this ShopKo could stand a fighting chance if they pulled themeselves together, but I don't foresee that happening.

The main problem is, they don't want to fix the problems they have, and they want to hide behind their excuses all the time. I do what I can, but I am just one person and because of the way the store is organized now, I am pretty busy doing my own job, let alone theirs.

Ofcourse, I just got an email from two of the managers today that essentially said to sit down and shut up. They don't actually talk to me like that, it was worded quite nice, in a very condescending, pat on the head sort of way.

It was in reply to a rather mean email I sent to them though, so I was half expecting it. I get pretty pissed off at the managers and I have a hard time making the things I send them sound nice. They are still professional, but they come off very "Holier than Thou". If I was them, I would hate to have an employee like me!

Well, I am trying to get on at WSU still so hopefully something will come of that. ShopKo isnt giving me the people or the raise I asked for, and I already told the manager I am looking for something new, so if they want me to train anybody they need to find them now. If I had thought about this ahead of time I would have found a new job by now and given my two week notice on this last tuesday, then my last day would have been the day before they needed to do the Thanksgiving Ad Set and they would have been royally screwed without me. But I wouldnt ever do that...

One thing that really made me crank it up a notch is that I just found out they got one of their better employees, that they have had awhile, to quit. Its a crazy story, but one I have heard before. Hopefully Adrian finds a good job with some people who appreciate him.

Well, this Thanksgiving will be (kind of, weird since its thanksgiving) my 10 year anniversary of my first day of work. Which happened to be at ShopKo, back when I was a Sophmore in High School. This will be my 5th Christmas with ShopKo (4 consecutive 96,97,98,99, then 5th one is 06).

Anyway, not sure if I should post this or not, but I am down to 264 now, think I should try checking my weight just once a week or so, but its easier to add it to my daily routine. Thats 18lb Ive lost so far, and it will keep getting better.

Tonight is family game night, going to break out one of the games Jadon got for his birthday and see what we can do with it.

Weight Issue part 2

Well, already mentioned my new information a bit, but I wanted to get down and dirty on the subject. Fact is, I just wanted to excercise until I was satisfied, but I think setting real world Goals will be a bit more constructive.

First I would like to mention that when I moved back home I weighed around 280 lb. More than I have ever weighed before in my life and it wasnt the best feeling in the world.Over the next 3 months I gained 2 lb. so I was up to 282. Then I got my kids up here with me and started playing with them and drinking less Soda and eating better and I dropped 10 lb. like it was nothing.

So I was down to 272, good weight loss, but still WAY too much baggage (Airforce says my Target is around 179!!! but I have heard their system is kind of distorted, so Im not aiming to go that low). It can be difficult to do some things when you have little kids around, and it was challenging for me to figure out exactly how I wanted to proceed with my Weight Loss.

After I found out some.. information.. in the beginning of October, I found an unholy motivation within myself to discover a way to proceed with losing weight.

I started exercising for the wrong reasons, but walking has been a way of exercising both my body and my mind. It allows me a level of focus like nothing else can. Speaking of which, I mentioned I am walking.

Thats right, Walking. I have discovered it to be a great way for me to get into shape. That is what I did the first time I lost a lot of weight (right before I met my ex), I was walking 40 miles per week on average. The major difference is, at the time, it was a necesitty. I did not have a car, it was 2 1/2 miles to work and 5 miles to my friends. There were some days I would walk to work and back and then to my friends and back (15 miles altogether). Within 4 months of doing that I went from size 44" waist to a 32" or 34". Pretty good if you ask me.

Which brings me to my current issue, motivation. Obviously now that I have a car, I dont "NEED" to walk anywhere. But I found a fairly flat surface in my backyard and just started doing it. I walk a fairly short distance and then turn around and walk back, then I do that about 100 times or so for 45 minutes. Or at least that is how I started.

I got some advice from a friend at work that I should ad weights (I think he called them 'resistance' weights or something) so I recently picked up 2 pair of 10lb weights. Ive added 10lb to each ankle and wrist, for a total of 40lb. extra (my current weight is 265, so that makes me about 305 with the weights).

I had taken a break for about a week from my walking and I finally started again this week. Now I will be walking about 80 times that length, and because of the added weight it is taking me about 40 min. When I say Im "walking" I mean that I am literally walking as fast as I possibly can while maintaining a reasonable breathing rate.

The number of times I walk that length is really not important, as it will increase over time. The point is how long I am exercising for, and keeping my heart rate high. So as I gain more strength and lose more weight (making the new strength even more effective) I will get faster and faster. When I first started walking the first time, it took me an hour to walk to work (2 1/2 miles), by the time I was done it only took 30 min. Half the Time!

Anyway, Ill keep people up to date. As far as goals go, I think losing 15 lb. per month is a great, and attainable goal. I hope for more than that, but Im not looking for some weight loss scheme or something, I want to lose this the right way so that I can keep it off the right way.

So hopefully by December I will be around 250, and maybe by christmas I will be to 235. I think I was at about 220 when I had a 34" waist (but I cant say for sure), overall my goal is to get down to about 200lb. It sounds a little high to me, but I also intend on building up some muscle to, I hear muscle actually HELPS KEEP weight off. Plus Ill look like a pimp (I wouldnt mind looking like Edward Norton's character from American History X, but without the tattoos, well, if I got one, which I wouldnt, it would be a Lambda, symbol of Sparta).

Well, chances are you got bored and stopped reading by now. If that is true, than you missed the best part. :-P

Im out

-Without courage, wisdom is useless. For many wise decisions follow a difficult, but rewarding, path.
This quote attributed to Jason Bishop, 1980-Current

Hey there everybody, not really sure if I should write this as if people are reading it (like a news post) or if I should write it to myself (like a diary).

I just wanted to post a little update about the people on my Friends list, so that everybody knows who is who, in relation to myself.

First up is bobbyloathes you, this is a crazy guy I met in Bellingham, he was the coolest Janitor ever. We were roomates for a little while, until he decided he wanted to be a pothead instead of a police officer and moved back home to portland. lol

Next is WILL, he was a manager of mine while I worked at Sears. He is a damn cool guy, but not the best at keeping in touch (hint hint).

Patti has been a friend to my Mom and I for a long time, she has two boys and a girl that arent too much younger than me (went to high school briefly with her boys).

SAR BAR is Patti's daughter Sara, she is going to college up at Western in Bellingham. She apparently likes Canadians, which is good considering her proximity to them at the moment.

"The Original" Jason Jizzy is actually Sean, another Crazy ass Gamer I met up in Bellingham. He is currently deployed in Iraq.

Jen is my soon-to-be ex-wife's sister. I will always consider her my sister and I will always consider her two boys my Nephews.

Sergentzimm is Russ, he has been my best friend for 14 years now, and we have known each other for 17 years (since we were in the 3rd grade in 89-90). I guess he just thought I was a spaz those first 3 years... ass.

*Angie* was another one of my Co-Workers at Sears, she is awesome.

amanda is one of my current Co-Workers at ShopKo, she is a student at WSU and grew up not too far from here, in Colfax. She also seems very awesome.

Ive got two 'friends' pending to be included as well, one of which is my soon-to-be ex and the other is my cousin Amanda, who I just found on MySpace (sent her an invite maybe an hour ago). I havent seen her or her kids in 5 years about and hopefully we will be heading over there sometime after winter has cleared up (she and the rest of her family live near Vancouver WA.)

Also, I would like to note that it is in fact true that I am listening to Cake right now. They, also, are awesome.

Update on Weight Issue

I forgot, I just wanted to let people know that I am close to 20lb. lost so far. I dont think I look any different yet, but my pants are definatly looser and Ive dropped down to the final notch on my belt. I will probably buy a new belt soon and wait on new pants, waste of money if I don't really. I intend to lose 3-4 times this amount of weight overall.

I got a little chubby in middle school and just kept it for awhile, then in Bellingham I got out on my own and lost a lot of it, dont know what I was down to, but I had dropped from a 44" waist down to a 34" or 32", in a span of 4 months. I intend to try that again, I just picked up two pair of 10lb. weights for my ankles and wrists, so I will be adding 40lb. of weight to my 45 min. walks. Should have some interesting results I hope.

I was all the way up to a 48" waist, now I think I may be almost back down to a 44", hopefully. In another month I should be almost to 40", seems a little fast, but now that I am not married anymore, I feel much more capable.

Wow, my dial up service was just down for 24 or more hours. You dont think internet access can get mush slower than dial up until you just dont have access at all!

If I could cut just one tree down I would be able to get wireless broadband service. Sounds like a plan, but in the end, I couldn't really cut down a tree for such a reason. Its a nice tree.

Man, I really want to go see the Prestige, but I don't have anyone to go with. Im told all I have to do is ask and I might get a positive answer, but I just dont think I am ready either way. I dont know though, maybe if I dont try to take that step, than I will never be ready for it.

A Kitten?

I am beginning to think that the 'Mood' emotes are not manly enough.

The Boomerang

Awesome, just a side note. Dropped my kids off at School and their teacher Mrs. Deerkop showed me the local area's bi-weekly newspaper. It had a picture of my kids on the FRONT COVER! Mrs. Deerkop took the picture at the boys Halloween party last week and sent it in.

Just plain Awesome.

Time to wake up?

Well I slept during yesterday a bit, since I work nights and all, but then since tonight is my only night off this week I went to bed again. Now i feel like I got enough sleep for once this year.

Ofcourse, turned out to not be as much as I thought it was. Accidently set my clock ahead 1 hour when I set my alarm last night. Good thing I didnt go right in and wake the boys up, what a disaster that would have been.

I think I will get a 'quick' game of Civilization IV in before they need to wake up. Those of you who have played Civ IV will know that it is not possible to play a 'quick' game, but oh well.

Oh and I hope everyone likes what I have done to my profile. If there is anything that is hard to read, let me know. Esspecially the custom contact box. It is a bit difficult for me to read, but I use the rez 1280x1024, but let me know how it looks on smaller the smaller rez.

Feel free to post the comments and such.

Very Nice

I like MySpace more and more. I keep finding peope I grew up with, People I met in Bellingham, People I met in Everett, People I am meeting Now. Its lots of fun.

Im getting more comments and everything. Though I am just now waking up and Im not sure what the crap is going on really.

I have the serious urge to sit down and play some Final Fantasy right now, but I must resist its temptation! Until my boys are old enough to help me play it, or I find a girlfriend that wants to play games with me, I need to just put the controller down and pick up a book or play with my kids. But it is final fantasy after all, the final one Im sure.

You know its kind of ridiculous now actually. Before you could justify the title by saying that, at least it was 'The Final Fantasy' for each story, because they would move on to another new world entirely for each entry in the series. But now there is Final Fantasy X-2 and a couple different Final Fantasy XIII planned, Final Fantasy XII is in the FFTactics world and now they are milking FFVII for everything they can (and we appreciate it Squaresoft, dont get us wrong), but that cow is going to look sick by the time thier done with it.

Anyway, had to get my 'just got out of bed' rant out of the way. Also, if you become a regular reader of my Blog you might notice that I tend to use 'Anyway' a lot. Also, if your my ex-wife you might like to notice that i say alot instead of a lot, a lot. And also misspell thier and Wierd alot too. ;-P but just keep reminding me, I am sure that eventually they will take that out of spell checkers world wide and make me work for myself for a change.

Wow, two 'just got out of bed' rants, my readers are getting lucky with this post.

You know, I hate admitting this, but I think my ex-wife was right about at least one thing. I was more in love with the concept of marriage and our family than with her. But either way, I was in love with it enough to stay with her for the rest of our lives, and to want to try to fix our simple but frustrating issues. whoa, stop Jason or you might just give the people 3 for 3 on the 'just got out of bed' rants. lol

I am clearly a talented blogger (giving myself plenty of credit is part of my high 'control freak' score from an earlier blog post), and I was planning on saying something witty when I started this paragraph, but that side note about the Control Freak test made me lose my train of thought.

Working on getting a job at WSU. Hoping to re-settle in Pullman for awhile, but things are still up in the air. Might be moving to Phoenix instead, but if I can find a good job and maybe a good woman, than I will stay in Pullman, where I am better off.

Well, maybe not better off, but I would love to raise my kids here, and then maybe leave again. lol.

I see that my first blog entry has been viewed 11 times, not sure by who, but I will look into it and find you all! :-)

Please feel free to post comments and such, on my blog and on my main MySpace page. Or send me messages or find my email and email me or call me or you know, whatever.

Thank you and Good Night.

First Blog Entry

I guess this is my first 'blog' entry. Just wanted to say that I added three new pictures.

As you can see, I've added a couple Friends so far. I hope to keep finding people I know, and maybe meeting new people would be ok. From time to time.

There is plenty more to say, but I better keep this short and sweet or I will probably go on for pages and pages. I don't actually ever have to stop, and I end up saying the same thing several times, and sev.. wait. Stop. Even when I say goodbye I keep going. I wrote an email the other day where I started several paragraphs with "Anyway" and "One last thing..." I just dont stop, even when I suggest in what I am writing that I may very well be stopping soon, but then I just keep going. Which reminds me, I think that Oompa Loompa's and Smurfs are cool, and I wish that "Oompa Loompa" could be used as a verb.

I will try it and let you know.
